I have an old Fanny Farmer cookbook I picked up as a kid for 50 cents. It was really old then. It has always been one of my favorites. Right now I also have the original Boston School cookbook that belonged to my mom. There are some differences but not many. The Hot relish in the pickles chapter in the Boston School is one that is not in Fanny Farmer. I use the second version in there. It makes the best hot relish. This year I made it with a mix of all hot peppers and it is the best I have ever made. Love these books!
